How Can Severe Vertigo Be Treated?

Hi. MWF 52. Dizzy! Vertigo. Tired, can t sleep because I feel like I am going to vomit. I felt like this when I was pregnant 18 years ago. History of depression, don t think it is related as there has been no change of meds in months. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think this is caused by middle ear problems.

The Meniere syndrome is the main cause of dizziness and vertigo.

It is treated with Meclizine, which is given with doctor's prescription. Visit an ENT doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
