How Can Sharp Pain In The Ball Of The Foot Be Treated?

I kicked a wall stupidly out of anger a few weeks ago. I got a sharp pain every time i stepped and have a bump on the ball of my foot. I had trouble walking for about a week. There was no bruising and i can walk fine now but there is still a bump and a dull pain every time i step. Could i have fractured something or is it just somthing minor that is taking a while to heal?
