How Can Sharp Pain In The Left Shoulder Be Treated?

I have a sharp pain in my left shoulder. I may have done something to it at the gym a few days ago. It feels like a constant stabbing and at night it gets much worse. Unfortunately ice and heating pads haven t helped. Any other ideas with what I can do to help the pain?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your muscle cramp.

As per your history it is stabbing and at night it gets women that means it is related to nerve, it can be because of postural problem or compression to nerve at neck region. It can be muscle too but associated muscle may be tender too.

You need to change your posture while watching TV or any other which makes you still for more time.

You can take medication like gabapentine but only after consultation with your doctor. Please visit an orthopedic specialist for further help.

Hope the answer to your query, write us back if you need any further help.

Regards
