How Can Shin And Ankle Pain With Bruising Be Treated?

hi, i played football last weekend and tooka blow to the shin which was quite sore at the time but pain went away the next day! i played again tonight and have taken another blow in the same same place its 2 hours on from when i did it and im now lying in bed in agony getting sharp shooting pains down my shin and also into my ankle, is it likely to be just badly bruised?
