I am having side effects from taking Ibandronate sodium tablets. What can I take for the pain (back, arms and legs, muscle pain, abdominal pain, headache). Definitely flu like symptoms but worse. I took the pill yesterday morning and got the symptoms last night and worse today. Can’t get in to my doctor until Thursday. I normally take Tramadal for pain is that ok to take and what is best thing to do?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, Ibandronate Sodium is a bisphosphonate, used in the patients with osteoporosis. It is having side effects like back pain, arthralgia, and myalgia. If you're experiencing above side effects means please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you with alternative medicine. You can use Tramadol for pain management, take calcium tablets with vitamin supplements.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
