How Can Sinusitis Along With Fatigue, Cough And Sore Throat Be Treated?

Hi. I feel like I have been sick for a month. I was diagnosed and dismissed with a sinus infection in November, given a ZPAK and sent home. Symptoms did not abate. 2 weeks later, back to the doctor, another ZPAK and Methylprednisone dose pak given. Last week, fatigue, stuffy head, cough, sore throat, earache, headache, body aches. Given Levoflaxin, another steroid pak and tessalon pearls. Finished all and still sick?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms suggestive of upper respiratory tract infection. But improvement not seen Hence further work up needed for that. For your condition sputum routine micro examination and culture can be done. Chest X-ray also should be done. If Auscultation shows rhonchi than spirometry done. Your CBC also should be done. Consult pulmonologist for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
