I have what I believe is a sinus infection. is not getting any better, it is worse My head fills with snot and it is difficult to breathe. It is on the left side. I am told that I also have bronchitis. The medication I am on is cefaclor and have been on it for 4 days. To sleep at night I sleep in a reclining chair. What can I do to improve my situation?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
breathing exercises would help you..
use nasal decongestants followed by steam inhalation for symptomatic relief..
avoid cold weather and dust .drink plenty of water
clearing the secretions is the most appropriate treatment..you may try sutra neti yoga practice or saline wash of sinuses

consult your doctor if you are if you are suffering more than 2 weeks or recurrent episodes of sinusitis ..then you must search for the cause for sinusitis
1)deviated nasal septum (narrowed space in your nose which must be surgically corrected)
2) allergies ( if you have associated sneezing episodes , rashes in this case antihistamines may help you)
you have associated bronchitis so you may be having allergic sinusitis ..avoid allergens use antihistamines use inhaler if shortness of breath
