General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Personally, I would advise you to get an x-ray done. I would also advise doing some blood tests as well to check if there is an ongoing infection like a blood count and CRP and ESR. You will be very confident about nothing being serious once all these tests are back and normal then you can use some painkiller for some time once tests are normal but in the above context, pneumonia cannot be ruled out so better do an x-ray.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman
