I had a sinus infectionin mid decenber in my frontal sinuses causing my left eyelid to be swollen - I went to a clinic - over course of 3 plus week, I was put on amoxicillin on e week, the Ceftin then augmentin, given 2 steroid shots - still to no avail - went to ER New Years Eve day with almost no left eyelid, no taste buds, pain in temples - doctor said I had been put on enough meds to kill a horse - said I had a sinus infection in ethmoid sinuses that was viral so no antibiotics worked - put me on Sudafed and nettie pot. He said if symptoms persisted go to and ENT. They did - I went got CT of sinuses - no infection but I have had rhinoplasty over 30 years ago, I am now 62, for 3 brken noses and I have no silia? and no turbinate left so no protection - I was put on prednisone for 2 weeks - made me worse and swelling travelled to right eye too; got second opinion from ent who said I could also be reacting to all the meds including Ibuprofen I took for 3 weeks, and put me on Flonase which I had to stop after 5 days - making me red swollen and moire puffy. Now for 3 weeks I am doing nothing and seeing if all will resolve itself - less red, left eyelid still wonky, bad metallic taste in mouth, just starting to blow my nose now and sneeze which I haven t done at all throu this sickness over 3 months now. Plus, I have MS, just the butterfly rash of Lupus infrequently. Am off all ms meds/shots for 20 years, diagnosed 24 years ago and just on plant based diet and doing well till this. I know immune system is very compromised - but since you asked - thank you. Any thoughts??
