How Can Sinusitis Be Treated?

my daughter has nasal drainage with bad smell all the time . she gets better with antibiotic then symptoms recur again. steroid nasal spray and orally were given and sinus rinse with some improvement. she had CT done recently which showed opacification of right osteomeatal unit of the right maxillary sinus. also there is mild bowing of the nasal septum to the left. what is the next step. this what was written in CT report. no other abnormality. my question is what we should do at this point another course of antibiotic or surgery is a must.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A short course of antibiotics preferably levoflox can be tried initially.

If symptoms persists better to consult an ENT specialist and plan for surgical correction like FESS (Functional endoscopic sinus surgery).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
