How Can Sinusitis Be Treated?

A month ago I moved to Illinois. Two weeks ago I finished an antibiotic for a sinus infection that was prescribed before I moved. Last week I had a cold and now my symptoms are back--headache in forehead, and back of head, teeth on right upper side are achy, cough, green drainage from right maxillary sinus when I use my Neti pot. Did the infection not heal totally, or I this new? Should I go on another antibiotic? I hate to let it go, because four times since 2002 I have had pneumonia from a sinus infection that drained into my lungs.

You may be suffering from acute viral pharygitis with sinusitis. Avoid cool'drinks and freeze water, use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablets like Oxt/Xylometazolin tablet's twice a day for five days. Use appropriate antibiotics like Amoxicillin Clavulanate or Azithromycin according to your body weight. If Symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
