How Can Sinusitis Be Treated?

I m trying to figure out what i have and how to treat it. At first a few weeks back started as what i took as a sinus infection as i ve had one before and all the symptoms lined up. I took all the presriced amoxicilan and some of the sudafed. Now i am not as stuffed up in my nose but i have some redness in the back of my throat and a consistant discomfort in parts of my head. Kind of like slight pressure headaches.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sinusitis may be due to bacteria or viral infection lead to blockade of normal drainage. Avoid cool'drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and alcohol. Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Still not improved need decongestant and mucytic medication. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
