How Can Skin Cancer Be Treated?

My husband was just diagnosed with skin cancer- letiga(sp?). The doctor explained the procedure for removal of the cancer, and skin grafting from the forehead. Chest x-rays were taken, and blood drawn. We are hoping none in the lymph nodes.Since this was discoverd early, what is the likelihood of cancer elsewhere?

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear if it is basal cell carcinoma less chances of metastasis than squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma.

2-10% squamous cell carcinoma may spread to distant organs.

If melanoma is superficial and localised 95% of chances to cure . If it is large spread to deep layers then 50% chances to spread distance organs.

So I don't which type of skin cancer your husband have do please know it from your doctor.

Take care
