Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
After consulting two dermatologists, I had a solar/ak peel performed on my forearms and hands about 3 years ago The recommended peel was for 2 weeks of daily applications for peeling followed by 2 weeks daily application of a healing ointment. Since the procedure I have mass amounts of blood accumulations under to skin on my forearms and my hands every day. Each day they appear in different shapes, sizes, and darkness. Daily fluctuations can be anywhere from 6 to 8 inches in size on my arms and differing sizes of blotches on my hands. Is there anything I can do to cure this problem? It was designed to prevent skin cancer, but I had two positive growths removed surgically from my arms within the last 3 weeks. Not only did I end up with blemished skin, but the peel did not seem to prevent cancer.Sorry I ever had it done.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use moisturizer cream and lotions, avoid exposure to sun. Don't apply skin irritants as they may aggravate the problem.
If symptoms not improved please consult your dermatologist, he will examine and take biopsy of the skin and treat you accordingly.
Take care.

How Can Skin Peeling On The Hands Be Treated?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Peeling of skin may be due to peeling skin syndrome or keratolysis exfoliativa or psoriasis or fungal infection or immunological connective tissue syndromes etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use moisturizer cream and lotions, avoid exposure to sun. Don t apply skin irritants as they may aggravate the problem. If symptoms not improved please consult your dermatologist, he will examine and take biopsy of the skin and treat you accordingly. Take care.
