How Can Sleep Disorder Be Treated Without Medication?

I have taked 2 Tylenol PM for 4-5 mo. every nite. I could tell that I have developed a tolerance for it and have stopped taking it. The problem I am having is I have had 20 hours of sleep in the last 4 days. I go to sleep and wake up at 2-3 am. and can't go back to sleep. I am afraid to start taking prescription sleeping pills as I am worried about becoming addicted. I am 67 and in good health.
