How Can Sore Throat Along With Body Ache And Cough Be Treated?
Yes, thanks. I am getting over flu-like symptoms; fever on and off since Dec 28, sorethroat pain, cough, body aches. I ve felt good, but today I woke with stomach cramps, real tired, and now deep breathes cause pain at bottom of ribcage, left side. and i m a little unsteady
You have symptoms of the sore throat along with body ache and cough which seems to be due to strep throat and could be pharyngitis and post nasal drip. I would suggest you take steam inhalation on a daily basis. Do warm saline gargles. Avoid intake of outside food and cold beverages. You should consult ENT specialist for proper examination. The doctor may order throat swab test, viral culture test, blood test, and x-ray to confirm the diagnosis. The doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis along with decongestant and expectorant.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
