How Can Soreness And Inflammation Around Pilonidal Sinus Removal Site Be Treated?

About 20 years ago I had a pilonidal sinus removed just below my coxyx. It was quite large and took 3 month to heal. I was prescribed Trimovate as the skin where sinus was became red and sore. Now and again the skin becomes red and sore but my cream is obviously old and nearly used up. Is there a cream I can use instead of Trimovate without having to go to my doctor?

hi sir/madam,pilonidal sinus recurrence is common after surgery.your symptoms might probably be due to recurrence.trimovate is the only ointment that contains an antibiotic, corticosteroid and an antifungal medication.in many patients who had been to my clinic with similar symptoms,an abscess developed eventually requiring drainage.so the best treatment can be done at the surgeon's office in person.if you have any more queries,i'l be happy to answer.wish you a speedy recovery.bye.
