How Can Soreness And Redness In The Groin Area Be Treated?

I am concerned about an increasingly sore and increasingly red area on my upper thigh/groin area. I first thought it might be a spider bite or something, but now I am wondering if it could possibly be a blood clot or something. It is bright red and has a bump in the middle, no head on it, but when I squeeze around it, it seems to have something solid under the skin that is about the size of a marble.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, you have intertrigo groin. My treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for seven to ten days.
4. Other treatment options are oral fluconazoleitraconazole, and terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
 Dr. Harshit Bhachech
