General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would like to tell you that after tetanus shot, the area surrounding it may remain sore for one or two days.

I would advise you to apply ice pack to the area to reduce pain and inflammation. You can also take an over the counter painkiller like Tylenol to reduce pain.

But if the pain increases in severity or you experience any restriction of movement in the arm get yourself checked by a physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma Amman
