General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you are feeling sore around the neck and you are sure there is no fracture it must be because of a sprain or spasm that must have occurred due to the fall.

I would advise you to apply ice in the affected area and take an over the counter painkiller like Advil to reduce pain and inflammation.

Tab Resteral contains Sertraline which is an antidepressant and won't help with the pain.

If you are not relieved in a few days get an X-ray of the neck done and consult an orthopaedic surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
