How Can Soreness In The Hips Be Treated?

I m 64 and still a carpenter. Last Tuesday worked hard and felt good when got home. Next morning my left hip was very sore. Could not even sit in normal chair. But last night I felt like a vibration or thumping and then a click. I got up and could basically walk with no pain and still feel good. What s that about?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

With online consultation I can guide you to get out of the problems but, we can't omit general examination since it gives a lot of ideas about your problem.

You had a clicking sensation which says that may be dislocation of the hip, kindly get the x-ray for the hip, and also get the reports. For now, you can use any painkiller.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
