Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Soreness In The Leg After An Injury Be Treated?
I fell and hit my topside of my foot in the beginning of February, I still have bruising on the top of my foot and across the top and side is noticeably bigger than my other foot, I have noticed on the same side my lower leg has a definite long bruise which is tender, the soreness from when it happened has never gone away and I find my self limping often.
Since you continue having pain and, bruising and swelling after the injury, it is recommended to get a Xray done to rule out underlying fracture. Please be advised to follow up with an orthopedician to get a Xray done. Meanwhile, apply ice and take ibuprofen (if not allergic) for pain. Elevate the affected leg and take adequate rest.
