My son has been haveing trouble with Spondylosis in his neck. He went to a bone specialist and they said that surgery would might even make him worse. Can this be operated on? He was in the hospital a week and they sent him to rehab place. He was there for two weeks and he is no better. What do you suggest . He is 75 . Thanks. I didn t know this was going to cost me. Already spent all I had on doctors and tests, so I guess this don t help a guy that is miserable .thanks.
Spondylosis is essentially arthritis of the spine, it is possible that symptoms may be worse with surgery. Physiotherapy can sometimes take weeks to show any improvement, he should continue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
