How Can Stomach Ache And Bloating Be Treated?

Late this afternoon cooking dinner I had to leave my food to others doubling from stomach gas pains. Finally went. Ate a little not much due to stomach pain. I just farted about 20 minutes ago and came up to bathroom still with stomach pains like I have to poop and I cannot go. Had a bloody mucus in my underwear. Wiped off undies, but took a picture of what was left and the paper in toilet. 51 didn t do my 50 yr colonoscopy yet. Have colitis never usually blocked just the opposite. Should I go to er. My stomach woke me up from nap. I suffer regularly in pain, so usually have a high pain tolerance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If the pain is severe, then it may be best to be seen. The presence of mucus indicates that the colitis may have increased in severity. Temporary changes in diet and also medications may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
