How Can Stomach Ache And Diarrhea Be Treated?

I have a friend who is always in severe stomach pain has diarhea daily and was diagnosed with microscopic colitis. Could you recommend the best dr to treat her. She does have insurance for the next 6 weeks, husband changed jobs but is now down to 94 pounds cannot eat nothing extreme pain and depression. How can we help her?

Hello,

For microscopic colitis, antidiarrheal medication like loperamide or cholestyramine like drug prescribed. Immunosuppressive drugs are also beneficial in microscopic colitis. Consult gastroenterologist for examination and further management.
