Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son woke up this morning with going to the bathroom often, and upset stomach. Now he isn t feeling any better, and is light headed. I told him this morning it was probably a stomach virus, and I just asked if he was drinking fluids, which he said he has been.
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child has stomach upset which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis which seems to be due to viral infection and electrolyte imbalance in body.
Need not to worry. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination. Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate. You should take banana on daily basis and light food. Avoid giving any sharp and spicy food. Start treatment with combination of fluoroquinolones and ornidazole. You should take ranitidine for gastritis.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
