Greeting from healthcare magic memebers,

Dear Joshua,
I can understand your concern regarding tanning of skin.

It is quite common problem that happen to all of us if we are exposed to sunlight for longer duration. There are many home remedies as well as other treatments such as chemical peels, microdermaabrasion, lasers etc but there is no treatment that will work overnight. It will take time to get the skin with normal color and appearance. So i would advise you to be patient about it and let it heal naturally.

Use a good mineral based sunscreen with SPF greater than 30 atleast 30 minutes before going out in the sun. This will significantly cut back on accumulated sun damage.
To nourish your skin internally, drink plenty of water, citrus fruits and vegetables containing vitamins and minerals. Moisturize your skin with moisturizer or cream. Use of aloe vera gel, honey and lemon juice can be helpful. Melagard skin lotion contains active ingredients such as Benzophenone, Octyl methoxycinnamate, and titanium dioxide. Although it works in diminishing the penetration of UV light, do not use any medication/ointment or medicated cream without prescription of dermatologist. If you are too much concerned about the tanning, please consult skin specialist for further treatment.

Hope this answer helps. Please do no hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Dr. Khoja
