How Can Swelling Along With Soreness In The Arm Be Treated?

Left arm mid area is swollen, sore and feels like dead weight for the past 3 weeks! Now it s in myleft hand. What could this be? The doctor took an xray, called me to say the xray did not look to good, but have not said anything else except they will call me tomorrow! What could this be?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

It is hard to say without more specific tests. Xrays may show just if there is some bone issue such as fracture or luxation. SOme more serious things in nerves or muscles should be checked with MRI scan or EMG so this is your next step since these are not usual signs. This sounds to me more like neuropathy which can be caused by metabolic or degenerative things so neurolgoical exam is definitely recommended. If xrays sees soemthing then this is more to be bone fracture or arhritis.
