How Can Swelling And Blue Discoloration On The Nails Be Treated?

5 days ago my finger nail near the nail bed was pinched in a car door closing. The finger nail is blue and swollen. The top of the finger up from the nail bed is reddish and swollen for about 1/2 inch. I have not seen any medical review. What should I do at this point?

Hi,

It looks like your nail is about to be drop. Wait until this happens and make cold compressions until that. If purulent discharge starts, regular dressing with batticon will be necessarry. Avoid further trauma until recovery.

May you recover soon
