How Can Swelling And Bruising On The Toe Be Treated?

I stubbed my toe (4th) 7 weeks ago, possibly broke it, and it is still swollen and slightly discoloured. I had some nerve pain in the toe before the injury and fear I have further damaged the nerve(s) in the toe. There is a combination of numbness, burning and at times shooting pain in the toe. Is it worth seeing my doctor?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain, numbness and burning sensation in toe is probably due to injury to nerve.
However, injury to nerve can be due to fracture of toe bone.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment and X-ray of toe.

Thanks and take care
