How Can Swelling And Burning Sensation On The Ankles Be Treated?
I HAVE SWOLLEN ANKLES THAT BURN AND ITCH I DRINK ALMOST DAILY TO SELF MEDICATE FOR ANXIETY SHORTNESS OF BREATH AND HISTORY OF PULMUNARY EMBULISM, 3 EPISODES TO BE EXACT I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH copd FOR SHORTNESS OF BREATH I THINK PERHAPS IT MAY BE MORE RELATED TO CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE, I WAS ON KLONOPIN FOR THREE YEARS FOR ANXIETY AND HARDLY EVEN TOUCHED A BEER. I DO NOT DRIVE AND A NEW MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC OPENED UP MUCH CLOSER TO MY HOME. I HAD MY CASE FILE TRANSFERED THERE. THE DR. TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO BE RE-EVALUATED FOR ANXIETY BEFORE SHE WOULD CONTINUE THE KLONOPIN. SHE NEVER DID RE-EVALUATE ME FOR ANXIETY IN SUBSEQUENT VISITS SO I HAVE BEEN USING ETOH TO FUNCTION. ITS KILLING ME I KNOW BUT IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT GIVES ANY QUALITY OF LIFE. HOW DO I APROACH A DR. ABOUT GETTING BACK ON THE KLONOPIN THAT GIVES ME THE ABILITY TO FUNCTION AND BRING BACK SOME QUALITY OF LIFE WITHOUT DESTROYING MYSELF WITH THE ONLY THING I HAVE AVAILABLE TO SELF MEDICATE. ( ETOH ).
As per my surgical experience, the swelling and burning sensation on the ankle seems to be perfusion disturbances related where the peripheral blood is getting not perfectly returned to the heart. It is the lymphatic tissues which come into action for creating swelling.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
