How Can Swelling And Sensitiveness In The Mouth Be Treated?

My ear hurts and once in a while leaks dark fluid. my left tonsil and palatoglassal arch is swollen and my guns have become sensitive so tha the slight abrasion turns in to a canker sore. I am in great pain and can barely talk and have been having similar if not evolving reoccurring symptoms for the past few years now. When my symptoms return my bines hurt especially my back. I have went to doctors and both gave two different answers that I dont trust. What could be wrong? How can at least temporarily stop the swelling so I can talk with out spitting in my friends???

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like infection leading to ear ache and discharge of fluid that can be pus along with swelling of tonsil, palatoglossal arch and gum inflammation..

Canker sores can also be secondary to infection with slight inflammation of mucosa..

It can be due to bacterial or viral infection..

So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room or an ENT Physician and get evaluated and a clinical examination and throat swab culture and ear examination can be done for confirmation..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen, do warm saline gargles and antiseptic mouthwash gargles..
Manual drainage of the ear can be done followed by antibiotic and analgesic ear drops..
Avoid spicy and irritant foods..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
