General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Such patients should get doppler of his leg done to rule out if there is any blood clot in the leg. This is not very common but should always be ruled out in an unilateral swollen leg.

Other possibility could be a Becker cyst or infection. So, the best would be you urgently see your doctor who would decide to go or not for these tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman
