How Can Swelling On The Cheekbone Due To Fracture Be Treated?

I fractured my cheekbone playing soccer about eight weeks ago. While the bruising and most of the swelling has gone down there s still some swelling. The area is also still painful to the touch and sometimes just gets random shocks of severe pain where I hit It. Is it possible that it s healing/healed wrong? And if so, what re my options of treatment?

Hello,

Cheekbone fractures usually heal without infection but it may be necessary to give you antibiotics, particularly if a “graft” has been used. You will be sent home with painkillers and a course of antibiotics if necessary. There is a variable amount of swelling and bruising in the skin around the eyelids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
