Hello,

As per your complain it seems that due to trauma there has been soft tissue injury to the lips leading to inflammation and swelling and along with it there is also spillage of blood into the soft tissue due to rupture of blood vessels leading to hematoma formation. No need to worry as the swelling as well as hematoma will resolve gradually.

You should give her Tylenol to ease her pain. You should do cool compresses over her lips to reduce inflammation and swelling. It will help in reducing swelling as well as pain. Feed her with light diet and drink plenty of water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
