How Can Swelling On The Upper Lip Be Treated?

Hi , I had something sticky on my upper lip. I may have scrubbed it to har d in the shower. It resulted in red bumpy skin. After 4 days I went in the shower. The next morning I woke up with a mild swollen upper lip. Today I woke up with a huge upper lip.It is so swollen and embarrasing.
Do you know when it wil go?
Or
What I can put on it?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like your upper lip is infected that can be due to scratching causing injury...
The sticky thing can be due to pus formation secondary to infection..
I would suggest you to consult an emergency room and get evaluated..
You can be advised antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers for reducing infection and swelling..
You can also be advised to clean the lip with antiseptic solution..
Do cool compresses to reduce inflammation and swelling..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
