How Can Swollen And Itchy Red Patches On The Skin From Multiple Bug Bites Be Treated?

I was in South Florida this past weekend, got multiple bug bites, they have red swollen patches, very itchy and are oozing a yellow liquid....any idea what bit me or how to treat it. I have been taking antihistamines, using anti-itch creams and covering them with band aids but they don t seem to be healing very much

Hello,

I have gone through your query and it seems to be infected insect bites. It is difficult to comment on the nature of the insect causing it.

I would recommend you to take an antibiotic like tablet Cephalexin twice daily, oral steroids like tablet Prednisone and apply topical antibiotic steroid cream on the affected areas for 7-10 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
