How Can Swollen Bumps Behind The Right Ear Be Treated?

I wear safety glasses at work for about 12 hours everyday. I noticed they are tight on my head and now I have two swollen hard bumps behind my right ear. One is in the top region and its in my hair line, right where my glasses rest. The other bump is on the lower region on the skull part behind my ear...please advise

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

First of all avoid the hard grip of the arms of your sun glasses that can lead to traumatic injury with subcutaneous inflammation.

Second thing is get you glucose level checked for pre diabetic or diabetic status cleared. Sometimes because of recurrent high sugar level can cause these papules.

In case you have pus formation or tender spots, you may take antibiotics for 5 days daily.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further.
