How Can Swollen Hands And Feet Be Treated?

I've had swollen hands for a few months now-I"ve been to my regular doctor, an orthopedic (who saw me all of 30 seconds) and an endocrinologist. I've also had the nerve study done to check on the possibility of carpal tunnel. The study came back with mild carpal tunnel/mild arthritis. I've been doing all of the stretches and I've had cortisone shots in both hands, the stretches help very little and the cortisone shot only works for a week or so. My hands swell and are quite uncomfortable (to the point I can barely chop anything to cook dinner let alone go to the bathroom) Today I've noticed my feet are somewhat swollen and tender. I do work at a computer and I've used the braces for carpal tunnel but they are absolutely no help, in fact seem to make the symptoms worse. Is there a possiblity of something more to be concerned about. They've done blood work twice (I do have a slightly enlarged thyroid but the tests all come back in normal ranges)
