How Can Throat Discomfort Along With Excessive Burping And Hiccups Be Treated?

I was eating to fast and took a drink of water to help pass the food down my throat, but instead I started to choke, I could still breath but it felt like my food was stuck in my throat. I did end up throwing up, and it's been about an hour and I still have a sensation that food is stuck in my throat I can breath but I have not been able to eat or drink anything with out throwing up. I also now am burping and have the hiccups.

Hi

Thanks for using HealthcareMagic
The trauma that occurred to the throat during the choking episode would cause the residual feeling that food is present.
It would be best to rest the throat for a few hours, use only cool or cold liquids that would not cause any further trauma. Pepcid or Zantac would help with the burping.

I hope this helps
