How Can Throat Irritation Be Treated?

I put strawberries in 6 cups of water and /14 cup of Clorox then rinsed with water dried them and ate about six. (I later remembered I was to use vinegar and water, not Clorox. My throat and mouth are slightly irritated. Is this a concern or was the amount of bleach diluted enough so I do not have to seek help?

Hello
Welcome to
Healthcaremagic.com.
As per your history you have taken disinfectant which I believe was not diluted too much. Now as I can predict you have got a chemical burn. Most of ingredients are not dangerous but hypochlorite can cause tissue necrosis and lead to chemical burn which you have.
You need to follow the instructions like;
1) wash your mouth repeatedly with cold water.

2) Use glycerin to coat your tongue and cheeks.

³)If you feel gastric upset please visit your physician immediately.

4) take medicine to reduce stomach upset like pantoprazole 40 mg.
5) you need to take antibiotics like levofloxicin 500mg once daily for 5days.

Regards
Dr Muzaffar.
