How Can Tinea Corporis Be Treated?

Hello there Doctors that are available, i have been applying fungal cream on my groin (Tinuea Corporis) area for weeks now as prescribed by the doctor i went too, the groin are has shown improvement however there has been times when i apply the cream as well to the shaft of my penis just for precautionary. As i was going to the toilet and urinating, i realized that my penis shaft was a little bit dry and white (I am Indian so my penis is black in color too which made it obvious that the color was not right). Can this be due to the cream i apllied on the shaft and it has not been washed away properly during bath or has the infection spread there too? Sincerely, Worried Adult. Your prompt feedback is much appreciated. Good day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There is a good possibility that the white matter is not well-washed cream because fungal infection in that area is redness. You can use the antifungal ointment. If it is repeated and not treated you can use oral antifungal treatment with Fluticasone.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
