How Can Toe Insect Bites Causing Itching And Numbness Be Treated?

I have 2 small insect bites on my toe that popped up about 3 months ago. I don't know what caused them, I woke up one morning and they were there. They still itch like crazy, worse than any insect bite I've ever had. Now I have some numbness in the area of the bites. My sensitivity to touch is very dull.

Greetings Sir/Madam. Insect bites are common and nobody can prevent it. I just want to know whether the size of bitten area is same or swollen/ oozing? Is itching just in area of bite or whole body?
-Since it's been of 3 months, it's difficult to find any sting, if it was of "BEE STING".

However, see your GP as soon as possible if your symptoms are severe.

If not severe Minor bites and stings can be treated by:

* Placing a cold compress (a flannel or cloth cooled with cold water) over the affected area to reduce swelling
* Do not scratch the area as it can become infected.

If the bite or sting is painful or swollen, you can also:
* Take painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen after your doctor consultation.
* Wrap an ice pack, such as a bag of frozen peas, in a towel and place it on the swelling
* Your doctor may prescribe a spray or cream that contains local anaesthetic, antihistamine or mild steroid on the affected area to prevent itching and swelling and also take an oral course of antihistamine.

Again reminding you to see your GP as soon as possible if your symptoms are severe.
Hope it helped you.
