How Can Tonsillitis Along With Fatigue And Tachycardia Be Treated?

My son is 20 years old and has had swollen tonsils , fatigue and tachycardia off and on for three months. Has been to urgent care on four occasions. Treated with antibiotics for step 1x for tonsillitis 2 x. Test for mono negative. Has history of PVT treated with cardioablation at age 6. Currently report swollen tonsils again fatigue that is debilitating and rapid heart rate upon slight excercise such as walking up a flight of stairs. Does, not currently have a PCP as he just moved to NYC.

Hi,

Tonsillitis may be viral origin/bacterial origin, it may be treated with antipyretics, antibiotics. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. May be fever cause tachycardia or viral myocarditis cause tachycardia. Weakness may be due to post viral myalgia. Drink plenty of water, Take rest. use tablet Levocarnitine twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
