How Can Tonsillitis Be Treated?

Hi
I have a viral infection in my tonsils and i am currently taking iboprofen and paracetomal for the pain , i like to smoke pure weed occasionally and was wondering if it would be bad to smoke this while taking my medicine and if this would make my illness worse.

Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Smoking weed will not worsen tonsillitis or interact with Ibuprofen or Paracetamol drug. It is better to take either Ibuprofen or Paracetamol and do not combine both.

However, smoking weed should be avoided considering the general ill effect on health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
