General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If symptoms persist despite taking antibiotics surgery may be the last option available. As a last resort, you can consult an ENT specialist and get a tonsilar swab and start antibiotics according to swab result.

If infection still persists you can directly go for surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
