How Can Tonsils Swelling With Pus, Bad Taste Causing Dysphagia Be Treated?

My tonsils are very swollen I can hardly swallow they have a lot of white puss and now starting to bleed the taste is horrible.. It seems like a bunch of mucus it draining down my throat. I went to the er on Friday I also had a bad heat rash which is now gone.. I am always tired I saw my doctor but the meds he gave me arnt making me better I feel I m getting worse. What is this? P.s. I ve had tonsilitis about 8 times in the last two years.. But it has never been this bad before.

Hello,
This sounds like an acute attack of tonsillitis. You would require throat swab and sensitivity testing. I suppose you are already on antibiotics. Try to gargle with diapersible analgesic tablets. You can revisit your doctor.
Think about tonsil removal if the symptoms are so frequent.
