How Can Tooth Ache And Pain In The Jaws Be Treated?

Hi, I had a tooth ache for a da or so and the pain moved to my lower jam on my right side. Its managble pain and is made worse by laying down. The pain moves up my jaw to just in front of my ear. I m unable to see a doc until late Wednesday or Thursday next week. Thoughts?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Toothache can be due to causes like deep Infection in the tooth, fractured tooth, deep abrasions etc.
Pain from tooth can radiate to the jaw on same side..
But if the pain is more in the jaw and is more infront of the ear then it can be related to the jaw joint due to jaw joint dysfunction or TMJ/TMD.
Soy suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and get a Panoramic x ray done..
For now you can take anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.
Take soft diet and avoid chewing from painful side..
