How Can Trigeminal Neuralgia Be Treated?

I suffer from trigeminal neuralgia. The shock starts from the back of my right ear goes across my chee to my nose and goes straight past my nose up to forehead over my head to the back of my head. I have been taking carbamazepine for several years and it worked. Today I started to have the shock feeling from my nose pass my eye and it stopped.Is there something stronger I can use. I keep thing of surgery to remove the nerve.

Hello,

No, you can get a trigeminal block done. They use some solutions to desensitize the nerves. For that, you need to go to PAIN CLINIC which is rum by the anesthesiologist. They give you the best block and are the outpatient procedure, recovery is soon.

But I bet you it is the best treatment for all your problems. Then can also give you the better medicine than carbamazepine though it is the gold standard drug of choice.
