How Can Triglyceride Levels Be Kept Under Control?

I have 340 triglycerires on my test..DR. has me to take anther test in 6 weeks to see what count is. If isn t any better she is going to put me on pill for diabetes,as it runs in family.. my question is what foods do I eat and what not to eat..I use Splendor for sugar, don t eat much bread, love potatoes and pasta. don t drink or use drugs.so what kind of food do I eat ..and stay away from...I am 88 yrs.
